Also called: RERA number, RERA ID, RERA certificate
The number a state RERA authority gives a registered project or agent. It must appear on every advertisement, and you can look it up on the authority's website.
How it works and what to check
The format differs by state. Searching the number on the state portal shows the promoter, approvals, layout, unit-wise carpet areas, the declared completion date, quarterly progress updates and any complaints or extensions.
Check that the number matches the exact project and phase you are buying in, and that the registration has not lapsed.
