- What is the difference between carpet, built-up and super built-up area?
- Carpet area is the usable floor area inside the walls. Built-up area adds the walls and balcony. Super built-up area also loads a share of common areas such as lobbies and staircases, so it is the largest of the three. Under RERA, residential sales must quote carpet area.
- How many square feet is 1 guntha?
- 1 guntha is 1,089 sqft (1 acre = 40 guntha). It is used mainly in Maharashtra and parts of Karnataka and Gujarat for plots and agricultural land.
- How many square feet is 1 bigha?
- Bigha is not standardised. This converter uses 27,225 sqft, the common North-India figure where 1 acre is about 1.6 bigha. Bigha differs materially between Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal and Assam, so always confirm the local definition.
