What is Development authority approval?

Also called: Authority approval, DDA, BDA, CMDA, HMDA, PMRDA, MMRDA

Approval from a city's development or metropolitan authority, such as DDA, BDA, CMDA or HMDA, which plans land use and approves layouts and large buildings in its region.

How it works and what to check

Big cities have development authorities that prepare the master plan, decide land use and approve layouts and large buildings within their limits. Some also allot their own flats and plots, often on lease.

A project should name the authority that approved it and the approval number. Check the land use in the master plan as well as the approval itself.
