How it works and what to check
BHK is the standard way Indian listings describe a home's layout. It says nothing about size: a 2 BHK can be 600 or 1,400 sq ft of carpet area, so compare area as well.
Some listings add '+ study' or '2.5 BHK' for a small extra room that may not meet bedroom size rules. Ask how many bathrooms there are and look at the floor plan.
